I am a Graphic Designer from England with an American accent, and I currently live in Southern Virginia. I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, in 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Currently, I am the Graphic Designer for the Division of Facilities at Virginia Tech. I have a background in printmaking, calligraphy, book arts, photography, and sign engraving.
With over a decade of experience, I have a strong background across many areas of graphic design. Working at different universities has helped broaden my skills to work on a wide range of projects, from swag stickers, postcards, and brochures to construction banners, license plates, truck wraps, and bronze plaques. I love taking on unique projects, but I also enjoy the challenge of making flyers and posters that are enticing. Working with student interns is also enjoyable, and one of the reasons I have worked at universities. I love to share the knowledge I have and work with passionate, vibrant people who may see design in ways I have not and push me to be better at what I do through their ideas.
One of my passions is accessibility, and I hold a certification from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals and have worked hard to ensure that all materials put out comply with ADA rules so that all audiences within our community can be reached. 
I grew up traveling around the world and experiencing different cultures. I love both art and design of cultures that are not my own, and I've been able to learn and appreciate the differences in ideas and ideologies. This expansion of living abroad and visiting many different countries has given me a unique insight into different audiences when working on design projects.
